GLOVERSVILLE — The Gloversville Police Department is cracking down on drug activity.
According to a release, beginning in August, members of the GPD Patrol Division and Detective Division teamed up with the New York State Police to conduct a detail targeting areas and suspects involved in the possession, sale and transportation of narcotics. The detail was formed partially in response to community complaints. In addition, the GPD in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration continues to aggressively investigate and prosecute suspected and determined overdose deaths.
The detail resulted in the arrest of 14 suspected criminals and the seizure of a significant amount of contraband, and associated property. The arrests were related to a variety of offenses, including: drug possession, weapon possession, vehicle and traffic offenses, criminal impersonation, obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest, the destruction of evidence, and an individual wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The arrestees include:
• Michael M. Intelisano, 20, second degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
• Kevin M. Labounty Jr., 25, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, tampering with physical evidence, third degree assault.
• Kaitlyn M. Beach, 23, unlawful possession of marijuana.
• Terrance B. Lair, 24, outstanding bench warrant.
• Roger S. Bishop, 32, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
• Michael J. Mosconi, 55, criminal impersonation, second degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
• Robert J. Spraker, 32, third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
• Nicholas S. Intonte, 30, third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
• John W. Smith, 37, resisting arrest, unlawful fleeing a police officer, vehicle and traffic offenses.
• Charles D. Newton, 37, tampering with physical evidence, unlawful possession of marijuana.
• Milton F. Phillips, 42, tampering with physical evidence, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
• Adonta B. Moore, 20, third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana.
• Christina M. Whelly, 26, third degree criminal possession of a weapon, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, obstructing governmental administration.
• An unidentified 16 year old male charged with obstructing governmental administration.

The contraband and property seized includes:
• $725.00 in United States currency
• 26 grams of marijuana
• 88 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine
• 1 Suboxone packet
• 5 motor vehicles
• 1 Conducted Energy Device, Taser
