Kick-off event at the Gloversville Public Library- Complimentary sundae bar and apple crisp. Pick-up calendar of events and enter raffles just by attending event. Opportunities to put a leaf on the random Acts of Kindness Tree, and to donate to local food pantries and animal shelters throughout May and June.

Representatives from the Library will be at the Farmers’ Market in Gloversville, where you can find Beekman books, READ t-shirts and event calendars.
Monday, May 4 6:30 p.m.
Storyteller Joe Peck will be at the library to tell stories and answer questions. He will also have some of his own books for sale. A Tractor in the House, and other Smashing Farm Stories, A Cow in the Pool and Udder Humorous Farm Stories.
Wednesday, May 6 6:30 p.m.
Master gardener Mary Ann Charon will hold a workshop on vegetable container gardening. This event requires pre-registration. Interested patrons should visit the Library website and follow the links to the event calendar to register. Cornell Cooperative Extension is a partner in this event.

Todd Rogers, from Rogers Orchard will be at the Library to talk about how to maintain an orchard and how to make cider.

History presentation by Sharon Springs Town Historian Nancy Pfau. The focus will be the history of Sharon Springs. The presenter will also have books available for purchase.
