Area residents gathered Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Gloversville Enlarged School District’s Boulevard Elementary for the first day of school. Students in grades 3-5 attend Boulevard this year, while those in pre-K through 2nd took a shuttle bus to Park Terrace Elementary. According to Principal Thomas Komp, despite the rain everything was running smoothly in the morning hours.
“I’m exited about all of the new students we’re having here for the first time,” Komp said. “We had a great turnout yesterday during our open building — lots of smiles. We have a great staff assembled here coming from all the other buildings — it’s going to be a fantastic year.”
