GLOVERSVILLE – Linda Batchelor, printmaker and collage artist, will be the featured guest at Micropolis Gallery in Gloversville from July 10 through Labor Day. A “Meet the Artists” reception will be held in the gallery on Friday, July 10 from 5-7pm. Refreshments will be served including a tasting of homemade ice cream by Kelly of Meco’s Perfect Scoop..
Batchelor of Northampton, Massachusetts, has exhibited both regionally and nationally. She has won awards and prizes and has work represented in many collections including The Boston Public Library, Baltimore City College, and Fidelity. With a focus on color and pattern, Batchelor creates pictorial works of stylized bottles and figures.
The show also includes paintings, drawings, photos, fiber art, batik, mixed media, woodwork, glass, digital art, floral art, sculpture, jewelry, and pottery by Micropolis Cooperative artists- Dan Bridge, Eileen Carey-Testo, Laurie Cerasia, Carol Law Conklin, Ruth Crotty, James Dempsey, Constance Dodge, Nancy Dunn, Susy Easterly, Katherine Ehle, Cheryl Gutmaker, Michelle Harring, Linda Hinkle, Lynda Naske, Ellen Rae Panero, Judith Plotner, Sandra Grace Smith, and Patsy Suydam.
