Chamber creates tourism survey process

GLOVERSVILLE — The Tourism Department of the Fulton Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce has created a survey process for tourism properties in Fulton and Montgomery counties to better assess and enhance its marketing efforts. Each month tourism facilities will be asked to fill out a survey about where their visitors came from and how they heard about the region. “In an ongoing effort to assess the success of our marketing campaigns, it is imperative that the tourism department needs to hear from the attractions, lodging facilities, and other tourism properties in Fulton and Montgomery counties. The site managers and staff at our properties are the ones speaking to our visitors and collecting valuable data about our tourism economy,” stated Director of Tourism, Gina DaBiere-Gibbs. “In addition to data secured at the Fulton County Visitor Center, the survey responses will help provide the tourism department with information necessary to make successful media buys and target campaigns to attract visitors to our region,” added DaBiere-Gibbs. Each month, surveys will be emailed to the region’s tourism facilities. Surveys can also be found on each county’s tourism website on the contact page at www.visitmontgomerycountyny.com/contact or www.44lakes.com/contact. The Tourism Department asks that completed surveys be returned by the fifth of the month with the prior month’s information via email to [email protected] or fax to...
